The Wellsboro Bocce Ball team evened their season record up at 1-1 after sweeping North Penn-Liberty Monday afternoon.
The Hornets won 6-4 and 5-2.
"It was a great team win tonight," head coach Jacob Rogers said. "The students had great rolls throughout the entire match and encouraged each other along the way."
In the first game Wellsboro jumped out to an early 6-0 lead, scoring two points in the 1st frame, 3 in the 2nd and 1 in the 3rd, then held off as the Mounties scored 4 unanswered points.
In the second game Wellsboro again held an early lead, 2-0 after the 1st frame, before the Mounties scored one point in the next two frames to knot the score at 2-all. Wellsboro then went on a 3-0 run in the 4-6 frames to pull out the win.
Wellsboro (1-1) is back in action at Athens next Monday.
