Hornet Bocce Ball Team Edges Athens In Golden Frame

The Wellsboro Bocce Ball team improved to 2-1 on the season after rallying past Athens, 2-1, Monday afternoon.

Athens held on to win the first game, 5-4, despite the Hornets scoring 2 points in the 6th frame after trailing 5-2. Wellsboro then rallied to take game two, 7-3. Down 2-0, Wellsboro scored 4 points in the 3rd frame then added one in the 4th and two points in the 5th to knot the sore at 1-all.

Wellsboro then took the Golden Frame to earn the win.

The Hornets are back in action at home against Williamson on the 21st.
