Lady Hornets Sweep Season Series With South Williamsport

Wellsboro swept the season series with South Williamsport on the volleyball court, sweeping the Lady Mounties 3-0 on Monday.

The Lady Hornets won 25-13, 25-19 and 25-16.

Wellsboro also won the JV game 2-0 (25-9, 25-9).

Junior Ellie Largey scored 11 points (1 ace) and had 19 assists to lead the Lady Hornets while sophomore Jillian Mickey scored 9 points (2 aces). Sophomore Kendall Sweet scored 7 points (1 ace) and had 7 kills.

Junior Madison Cruttenden recorded 10 digs, junior Blake Eckart and sophomore Peyton Keane had 9 kills apiece, and senior Taylor Main made 5 assists. Keane also added 8 digs and Eckart added 5 digs.

The Lady Hornets improve their record to 16-3 (11-2 NTL Large School Division). The team is back in action tonight against Towanda for Senior Night.
