The Wellsboro Girls Soccer team recorded their sixth shutout of the season after beating Northeast Bradford 2-0 Tuesday afternoon.
"We moved the ball well and capitalized on a couple of key chances that gave us control of the match," said head coach Michael Reese. "That also created the opportunity for our underclassmen to gain valuable minutes, which is always important for their development. I was very pleased with our effort and attention to detail throughout the game."
Sophomore Kate Bryant put the Lady Hornets on the scoreboard with 8:19 remaining in the first half on an unassisted goal. Junior Ella Boyce, assisted by sophomore Luna Moyer, scored with 18:38 remaining in the game.
Junior Jadyn Dunlap recorded 5 saves in goal for the clean sheet.
The Lady Hornets edged the Lady Panthers 7-5 in shots and had a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Wellsboro (7-4, 6-3 NTL) makes the trek back on Route 6 to Towanda Thursday evening.
