Lady Hornets Sweep CV

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team ran their win streak to nine games after sweeping Cowanesque Valley 3-0 Thursday evening.

The Lady Hornets won 25-11, 25-15 and 25-12. Wellsboro also won the JV game 2-0 (25-10 & 25-23) to improve to 14-2.

Junior Madison Cruttenden scored 11 points (2 aces) to go along with 9 digs to lead Wellsboro while junior Ellie Largey had 18 assists and 7 digs. Junior Blake Eckart had 11 kills, sophomore Peyton Keane had 10 kills, and sophomore Kendall Sweet scored 7 points and had 3 aces.

Junior Adelyn Frantz had 6 kills, senior Taylor Main made 10 assists and scored 8 points, and sophomore Jillian Mickey recorded 5 digs.

Wellsboro improves to 14-2 overall and 10-1 in the NTL Large School Division. The team is back in action against Williamson on Tuesday for their final league cross-over game.
