The Wellsboro Girls Swim team scored a 62-8 win over Towanda, splitting a match with Athens and the Black Knights Thursday.
Athens beat Wellsboro 80-45 and Towanda 92-8 in the girls' races. On the boys side, Athens defeated Wellsboro 100-40, and Towanda, 99-50. Towanda also beat Wellsboro, 72-52.
Sophomore Piper Anderegg won both of her races on the evening, swimming 2:11.76 in the 200 Free and 1:11.30 in the 100 Fly.
Senior Kristina Belz took 2nd in the 100 Free (1:08.83) and was 3rd in the 100 Backstroke (1:24.03).
Freshman Joelle Bull took 2nd in the 50 Free with a time of 31.83 and was 4th in the 100 Backstroke (1:27.62).
Senior Makenna Robbins also brought home a pair of first place finishes, winning the 200 IM in 2:33.76 and the 100 Breaststroke in 1:19.01.
The group also placed 2nd in the 200 Medley Relay (2:13.03) and the 200 Free Relay (1:57.76).
For the boys, sophomore Matthew Robbins finished 2nd in the 50 Free (24.15) and 2nd in the 100 Fly (1:02.69).
Sophomore Wyatt Sporer (1:00.91) was 3rd in the 100 Free, junior Ethan Pollaro (2:23.29) was 3rd in the 200 Free, and freshman Conlen Whitsell (1:21.37) was 7th in the 100 Free.
Junior Max Mascho finished 4th in both the 200 Free (2:27.18) and the 100 Backstroke (1:13.86).
Freshman Austin DeShazo was 4th in the 100 Backstroke (1:15.66) and 5th in the 50 Free (28.14).
Sophomore Eli Shrawder took home 5th in the 100 Free in 1:10.10 and 6th in the 50 Free (30.04).
Freshman Elijah Kennedy was 9th in both the 50 Free (35.60) and the 100 Free (1:28.50).
Wellsboro took 2nd in both the 200 Medley Relay (1:59.29) and the 200 Free Relay (1:44.29).
Wellsboro is off until the "Keep The Beat" Invite at Elk Lake on January 2.
