The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team rallied after a first-set defeat to take the next three sets, sending Williamson home with a 3-1 loss Tuesday.
Wiliamson edged out the Lady Hornets 25-23 in the first set. However, Wellsboro rallied to win the next three 25-16, 25-10 and 25-2.
Junior Madison Cruttenden led Wellsboro with 25 points (6 aces), 17 digs and 2 assists while junior Blake Eckart had 14 kills. Sophomore Peyton Keane had 11 points (6 aces) and 6 kills, sophomore Kendall Sweet scored 10 points with 2 aces, sophomore Adelyn Frantz had 13 kills and 4 blocks, sophomore Jillian Mickey made 11 digs, and senior Taylor Main made 18 assists and 10 digs.
Junior Ellie Largey recorded 13 assists and senior Alyssa Chilson and sophomore Teagan Novinger had one block each.
Wellsboro swept the JV game, winning 25-18 and 25-12.
Wellsboro improves to 15-2 overall and 11-1 in the NTL Large School Division. The team is back in action Thursday at Troy.
