The Wellsboro Girls Tennis team started the 2025 season as they edged out rival North Penn-Liberty 3-2 at Packer Park Thursday.
"I thought it was a great start to the season and although Olivia didn’t win tonight she hit 87% of her shots in and covered over a mile on the court in her three hour match," commented first-year head coach Spencer Kreisler. "Evelyn was able to really pull through at second singles for us tonight, constantly adjusting her strategy throughout the match and making it work for the win."
