Junior Jordan Rumsey finished 5th overall in her 112 lb. weight class at the District IV Girls Wrestling tournament in Williamsport Saturday.
The Lady Hornets finished 13th overall with 41 points. Hughesville (180), Athens (178.5) and Montgomery (167.5) were the top three team finishers on the day.
Rumsey started the day winning her quarterfinal match against Muncy's Eva Nagel, via a 1:08 pin fall to advance to the semi-finals. There, she was pinned by Hughesville's Ariahna Moore in 2:22. In her consolation semi-final match, Rumsey fell to Milton's Louise Cromley in 1:59. Rumsey then rebounded to win her 5th/6th place match, pinning Northeast Bradford's Dariela Reyes Ramirez in 2:55.
Senior Megan Robbins finished 6th on the day. She won her opening round match over Northeast Bradford's Mackenzie Clark at 130 lbs. via a 17-7 major decision, but then fell to Montgomery's Zoe Furman in the quarterfinals in a 36 second pin. Robbins won her next two consolation bouts, picking up a victories over Mifflinburg's Amellia Fluman (1:32) and Williamsport's Emma Schell (2:36) before falling in the consolation semi-finals to Shikellamy's Aubrey Rebuck (1:59). She then dropped her 5th place match to Hughesville's Avery Puderbach in 2:48.
Junior Kodi Passmore, sophomore Kaelyn Peterson and freshman Katie Whitney all went 1-2 on the day before falling in the 2nd round consolations. Passmore pinned Mifflinburg's Elizabeth Delcamp in 2:10 for her lone win while Peterson won by injury default against Line Mountain's Paiton Burgess. Whitney pinned Athens' Isabella Henry in 1:41.
Frehman Isla Twoey was 1-for-3 on the day, picking up a 2:40 pin against Towanda's Hailey Harbst in her 3rd round consolation match.
