Lady Hornets Fall Short To Addison

The Wellsboro Girls Basketball team made the long trek up to Addison in New York state and suffered a 31-20 loss on Monday.

The JV team also suffered a defeat.

The Lady Hornets kept the game close through the first three quarters, trailing 4-2 after the opening quarter, 12-8 at the half and 21-15, but Addison pulled away over the final eight minutes with a 10-5 fourth quarter to solidify the win.

Sophomore Adelyn Frantz led all scorers with 10 points on the night while sophomore Kate Bryant and freshman Kya Lawton scored 3 points each and senior Lily Wagner and freshman Lena Rothermel added two points apiece.

The loss drops the team to 0-2. The team begins NTL play at Northeast Bradford on Wednesday.
