The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team suffered a 4-0 defeat in their regular season finale against Muncy on Thursday evening.
"We made four costly mistakes in the first half, and they took advantage of each one," head coach Michael Reese said. "I was proud of how we responded and kept battling. It wasn't the ending I wanted for our seniors' last home game, but we'll use it as fuel and get another chance in districts."
The Lady Indians scored all four goals in the first half while out-shooting the Lady Hornets, 15-4.
Senior Jadyn Dunlap made 12 saves in goal.
The Lady Hornets finish the regular season 10-7-1 (8-4-1 NTL). The team is currently in 7th position in the District IV Class 2A power rankings. They await their opponent for post-season play.
