The Wellsboro Volleyball teams picked up a pair of wins at Towanda Tuesday evening to run their win streak to three games.
Wellsboro took the JV game 2-1 winning 26-24, falling 23-25, then winning 15-5 in the third set to improve to 7-2 overall.
The Varsity game was back-and-forth with the Lady Hornets coming home victorious in five sets. Wellsboro won the first 25-23, lost the 2nd 25-17, then won the third 25-10. Towanda won the 4th set 25-18 before the Lady Hornets closed the 5th out with a 15-10 win.
Junior Blake Eckart led the team with 15 kills and 10 digs, sophomore Peyton Keane added 10 kills, sophomore Kendall Sweet had 11 points (2 aces) and 5 kills, and sophomore Adelyn Frantz had 10 kills and 3 blocks.
Senior Taylor Main had 17 assists and 12 points, junior Ellie Largey had 12 assists and 9 points (1 ace), and junior Madison Cruttenden had 14 digs.
Sophomore Jillian Mickey also added 8 digs.
Wellsboro (8-2, 6-1 NTL Large School Division) hosts rival North Penn-Liberty for their annual "Pink Out" game Thursday.
