Junior High Volleyballers Sweep Williamson, Move To 3-0

Wellsboro's Junior High Volleyball team swept Williamson 2-0 Saturday morning to remain undefeated on the season and improve to 3-0.

The young Lady Hornets won a back-and-forth first set 25-20, then won the second set 25-16 for the sweep.

Reese Eckart led Wellsboro with 15 points (7 aces), 1 kill and a dig. Rachel Weaver had 7 points, 4 digs and 3 assists, Alexis Dunning scored 6 points (2 aces), and Nora Mickey had 3 points (1 ace) and 2 digs. Harper Bourret added 3 kills and 2 digs and Kyerra Heck made a dig.

Wellsboro's B team also won 2-0 on the day. Wellsboro rallied to win the first set 25-22 then took the second 25-14.

Wellsboro (3-0) travels to Troy on Wednesday.
