The Wellsboro Junior High Volleyball team won their third consecutive match Monday evening as they edged Wyalusing 2-1.
Wellsboro dropped the first set 25-22, but regroup to win the second 25-22 before closing out the game with a 15-7 third set.
Rachel Weaver led the young Lady Hornets, scoring 13 points (6 aces) to go along with 3 assists and 2 digs. Reese Eckart scored 9 points (4 aces), had 2 kills and a dig, and Alexis Dunning added 7 points (3 aces) and an assist.
Nora Mickey added 6 points (2 aces), 2 kills and a dig and Lila Morey also had a kill.
Wellsboro also won the B game 2-1. They won the first set 25-15, lost the second 25-23, and won the third 15-7.
Naleyah Greenfield led the team with 11 points and 5 aces.
The young Lady Hornets improve to 7-3 with the win. The team is back in action at home on Wednesday against rival North Penn-Liberty.
