The Wellsboro Boys XC team lost a pair of races to Canton and Sullivan County on the road Tuesday afternoon.
Canton won 25-30 and Sullivan County won 23-32.
Senior Henry Whitney led the Hornets with a 3rd place finish in 18:51, followed closely behind by senior Max Macias in 18:56.
Freshman Taitt Webster (21:40) came home 12th, senior Ethan Geneski (22:00) was 13th, senior Henry Nowak (24:10) finished 15th, freshman Jacob Patterson (24:15) crossed the line in 16th, sophomore Jack Hammerton (24:18) was 17th, freshman Jesse Spicer (24:40) finished 18th, and freshman Austin DeShazo (26:30) came home 21st.
In the Junior High race the Hornets split both races. They defeated Canton 15-50 but fell to Sullivan County 23-32.
Lucas Crowl was 2nd overall in 12:08 to lead the young Hornets while William Rudy (12:39) and Wiley Sargent (12:40) were 5tyh and 6th, respectively. Emmett Tice (14:04) crossed the fine line in 10th and Jeff Rawson (14:11) finished in 11th place.
The Varsity team is back in action this weekend at the PIAA Foundation Invite in Hershey.
