The Wellsboro Swim team took part in a PHAC league meet at Williamsport on Wednesday, suffering losses to both Williamsport and Shamokin.
Williamsport won 90-30 in the boys meet and 120-31 against the Lady Hornets. Shamokin beat the Hornets 61-37 and the Lady Hornets 64-40.
For the boys freshman Wyatt Sporer was 4th in the 200 Free (2:28.09) and 3rd in the 100 Fly (1:16.04), sophomore Ethan Pollaro was 5th in the 50 Free (27.96) and 5th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:28.86), freshman Eli Shrawder was 7th in the 50 Free (35.54) and 5th in the 100 Free (1:23.47), and freshman Matthew Robbins won the 100 Free (53.78) and took 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke (1:16.25).
Wellsboro also entered the 200 Free Relay, finishing 2nd in 1:54.47.
In the girls meet, freshman Piper Anderegg took 1st in the 200 Free (2:12.82) and 1st in the 500 Free (5:58.27), junior Kristina Belz was 5th in the 200 IM (2:59.74) and 4th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:24.13), junior Makenna Robbins placed 2nd in the 50 Free (28.65) and captured 1st in the 100 Breaststroke (1:19.76), and freshman Molly Doan (46.54) was 8th in the 50 Free and 6th in the 100 Free (1:31.72).
All four Lady Hornets combined to swim the 200 Free Relay, where they finished 4th with a time of 2:10.17.
The team is back in the pool next Thursday at Athens.
