The Wellsboro Boys Swim team defeated Jersey Shore, but fell to Central Mountain, in a tri-meet on Tuesday, January 14.
The Hornets edged the Bulldogs 46-43 and fell to Central Mountain, 128-23. Central Mountain's boys team also defeated Jersey Shore, 130-18.
Central Mountain defeated both Wellsboro (130-27) and Jersey Shore (90-80) in girls action. Jersey Shore's girls also defeated Wellsboro 132-25.
Sophomore Ethan Pollaro finished 3rd in the 50 Free (27.87) and 4th in the 100 Fly (1:21.70), freshman Matthew Robbins was 1st in the 100 Free (54.75) and 2nd in the 200 IM (2:25.76), freshman Eli Shrawder was 6th in the 50 Free (32.74) and 8th in the 100 Free (1:17.35), and freshman Wyatt Sporer was 3rd in the 200 Free (2:26.26) and 4th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:22.53).
For the girls, freshman Piper Anderegg took 2nd in the 50 Free (27.28) and 2nd in the 100 Free (59.28), junior Kristina Belz was 8th in the 200 Free (2:53.0) and 7th in the 100 Back (1:29.72), freshman Molly Doan was 8th in the 50 Free (42.84) and 8th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:50.71), and junior Makenna Robbins (C) was 3rd in the 200 Free (2:18.02) and 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke (1:21.33).
Both teams are back in the pool on Wednesday, January 22 at Williamsport.
