The Wellsboro Bocce Ball team suffered their fist loss of the season as they were swept 2-0 at Canton on Monday, January 27.
Canton edged the Hornets 6-5 to win game one, then took game two, 4-2.
Wellsboro started out with a 2-0 lead after the first frame in game one, however Canton rallied with 2 points in the second and 1 in the third to take a 3-2 lead. Wellsboro countered, tying the game up at 3-all in the fourth and retook the lead with a 2-point fifth frame to lead 5-3. Canton again rallied to close out the game on a 3-0 run.
In the second game the Warriors came out scoring one point each in the first and second frames to lead 2-0 before Wellsboro added a point in the third to cut the lead in half. Canton scored 2 points in the fourth, while the Hornets added one in the fifth, for the win.
Wellsboro (3-1) travels to North Penn-Mansfield Thursday afternoon then hosts Troy for Senior Night on Thursday.
