The Wellsboro Hornet Bocce Ball team won their 2nd straight contest as they swept Williamson 2-0 on Monday, January 13.
"I'm proud of their teamwork and sportsmanship at tonight's match," coach Nicole Schea said.
Wellsboro took the 1st game 16-0, scoring one point in the 1st frame, two in the 2nd, four in both the 3rd and 4th frames, three in the 5th, and two in the 6th frame.
In game two the Hornets won 7-3 after jumping out to a 2-0 lead after the first two frames. Williamson cut the lead in half with one point in the 3rd frame, however the Hornets went on a 4-0 run in the 4th, 5th and 6th frames to pull ahead, 6-1. Williamson scored 2 more points in the 7th frame before the Hornets closed out the game with one more points in the 8th.
Wellsboro (2-0) hosts North Penn-Liberty on January 23.
