Senior Olivia Gage was recently named the Northern Tier League's Girls Tennis Player of the Year.

Gage was 2nd on the team in wins (4) from her 1st singles position and helped lead the team to their 9th league championship and a berth in the District IV team tournament.

"To have Olivia win this award after knowing how much extra work she's put in during this season is very gratifying," said head coach Spencer Kreisler. "It's not easy being the first singles player since you always have to go against the best player from every school, but her resilience this year when faced with these challenges, has made me extremely proud. Whether she was stopping practice so she could go pet a dog, or helping make friendship bracelets for the rest of the team, I couldn't have asked for a better role model for the younger players. I'm glad the other coaches in the league were also able to recognize her level of play this year; she definitely deserved this."

Joining Olivia on this year's All-Star team are seniors Evelyn Wetherbee, Logan Root and Aniyah Webb, junior Angela Cory and sophomore Serenity Mosher. Wetherbee, Root and Mosher were 1st team selections while Cory and Webb 2nd team picks.

Wetherbee led the Lady Hornets with 5 wins on the season, Root went 1-2 and Mosher was 1-3 in singles competition.

The doubles team of Cory and Webb went 2-1.
