Dunlap Named NTL Girls Soccer Defensive Player Of The Year

Junior Jadyn Dunlap was named the Northern Tier League's Defensive Player of the Year as the league released their Girls Soccer All-Star teams Thursday.

In total, four Lady Hornets were named to the team.

Joining Dunlap on the team were senior Caelyn Reese, freshman Haylie Smith and sophomore Luna Moyer.

Dunlap made 168 saves and allowed 34 goals to go along with six shutouts to help lead the Lady Hornets to their first District IV post-season appearance win since 2015.

Reese aided Dunlap and the rest of the Lady Hornet defense, combining for 183 saves, 37 goals allowed and six shutouts.

Smith led the team with 28 points, 12 goals and 4 assists.

Moyer tied for 2nd on the team with 17 points, 7 goals and 3 assists.
