Wellsboro's junior high track & field teams cruised to wins over Canton on Monday, April 29.
The boys won 93-16 while the girls outscored the Lady Warriors, 81-28.
For the boys, Jacob Patterson (15.50) finished 2nd in the 100m, Austin DeShazo (29.30), Stephen Tokarz (30.20) and Elijah Kennedy (31.80) swept the 200m, DeShazo (1:12.80) and Jack Hammerton (1:24.40) took the top two spots in the 400m, Fen Moyer (2:50.00) and Taitt Webster (2:52.00) finished 1-2 in the 800m, Ransom Schultz (6:14.50), Webster (6:27.10) and Moyer (6:33.90) swept the 1600m, and Liam Stevens (16.70), Brayden Benjamin (18.20) and Tokarz (20.60) swept the 100m hurdles.
Wellsboro split the relays, winning the 4x400m in 5:54.60 and taking 2nd in the 4x100m (59.90).
Stevens (5-ft, 2), Octavian Wyman (4-ft, 4) and Lane Cozby (4-ft, 2) swept the high jump, Stevens (18-ft, 1), Wyman (16-ft, 5) and Benjamin (14-ft, 9) swept the long jump, and Benjamin (31-ft, 10), Tokarz (30-ft, 7) and Cozby (23-ft, 8) swept the triple jump.
Schultz (34-ft, 2), Conlen Whitsell (27-ft, 1) and DeShazo (23-ft, 9) swept the shot put while Whitsell (96-ft, 1) and DeShazo (80-ft, 7) were 1st and 3rd, respectively in the discus with Connor Hartman (76-ft, 7) placing 4th.
For the girls, Dillyn Patt (14.10) and Kate Bryant (14.20) were 1st and 3rd in the 100m, Piper Perry (29.50) and Bryant (30.40) were 1st and 3rd in the 200m, Olive Twoey (1:15.20) and Joelle Bull (1:21.80) were 1st and 3rd in the 400m, Kaci Kosek (2:56.20), Molly Tice (3:32.10) and Claire Smith (3:57.00) swept the 800m, Kosek (7:04.20), Addie Chaborek (7:23.60) and Anja Przybycien (7:45.80) swept the 1600m, and Jennifer Belz (17.20), Twoey (18.80) and Patt (19.10) swept the 100m hurdles.
Wellsboro took 1st in both relays, posting a 1:02.60 in the 4x100m and 5:09.30 in the 4x400m.
Lauren Gehman (4-ft, 8) and Bella Hawn (4-ft, 2) took 1st and 3rd in the high jump, Gehman (14-ft, 7) won the long jump with Kaydence Pierce (12-ft, 5.75) taking 4th, and Gehman (31-ft, 2.75), Isla Twoey (28-ft, 8.25) and June Roth (27-ft, 7.25) swept the triple jump.
Serenity Mosher (24-ft, 1) and Belz (23-ft, 10) were 2nd and 3rd in the shot put and Pierce (53-ft, 8) and Piper Anderegg (49-ft, 2) were 2nd and 4th in the discus.
Wellsboro is back in action at Wyalusing tomorrow for their final regular season meet before next Tuesday's junior high championships.
