"We started out strong all around the first set," head coach Darci Pollock said. "We did not let our nerves get to us and played with confidence. We had some challenges in the second and third sets but worked hard to close out on another close game. These girls have worked so hard this season and have wanted this since day one. We know what we are up against tomorrow night, and we are ready to give it everything we have. I am so proud of this team for their dedication and determination. They work so well together and really know how to encourage each other to reach their goals."
Wellsboro returns to Athens on Thursday to take on Troy, who defeated Williamson 3-1 in Tuesday's nightcap. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
