The young Hornets then opened the flood gates in the second half, beginning with a Gage Baltzley goal 4:44 in. Wellsboro then scored five goals in the span of six minutes by Stevens (2), Smith (3), and Owen Miller. Stevens, Smith, and Sarah Schea assisted on the goals.
