Junior High Girls Beat Sayre To End Two-Game Skid

The Wellsboro Junior High Girls Basketball team ended a two-game skid after beating Sayre 32-8 on Monday, November 18.

Wellsboro led 10-2 after the first half then outscored Sayre 22-6 in the second.

Haylie Smith led Wellsboro with 8 points, followed by Shayla Hamblin and Lena Rothermel with 6 points each. Dillyn Patt and Kya Lawton added 4 points each and both Olivia Patt and Paige Rush chipped in 2.

Lawton pulled down 9 rebounds. Smith had 6 boards while making 7 steals.

Wellsboro (2-3) hosts Troy this evening.
