Hornets Place 5th At Tyoga

The Wellsboro Golf team brought home a 5th place finish at their home course at Tyoga Golf Club on Monday, August 26.

The Hornets shot 392 overall as a team. Athens (322) took first again followed by Towanda (333), North Penn-Mansfield (354), Wyalusing (371), Cowanesque Valley (396), and Sayre (530).

Sophomore Syler Pietrzyk shot an 80 to lead Wellsboro on the afternoon, finishing 4th overall.

Junior Marek Mascho finished with a 101, freshman Chase Schultz shot 102, junior Kiernen Whitsell carded a 109, freshman Logan Johnson shot 118, sophomore Gideon Lawton added a 124, and freshman Shaina Harrison shot 154 to round out the team.

Wellsboro (3-9, 3-9 NTL) is back in action at Corey Creek on Tuesday, September 3.
