The Wellsboro Track teams brought home a pair of wins in their final regular season meet at Wyalusing on Tuesday, April 30.
The Hornet boys scored 85 points, beating Williamson (44) and the Rams (38). The Lady Hornets scored 70 points to finish ahead of Williamson (59) and Wyalusing (37).
For the boys, sophomore Jonathan Carl (11.54) and junior Jack Bryant (11.64) finished 1-2 in the 100m, junior Micah Vickery (16.21) won the 110m hurdles with sophomore David Seeling (17.58) taking 3rd, Bryant (24.33) won the 200m with sophomore Jacoby Strang (25.60) and junior Micaiah Fitch (25.84) taking 3rd and 4th, Vickery (44.87) won the 300m hurdles, and Carl (53.85) claimed the top spot in the 400m.
Sophomore Jude Cuneo (2:11.62) took 2nd in the 800m, sophomore Henry Whitney was 4th in the 1600m (5:34.05) and 2nd in the 3200m (12:15.91).
Seeling (5-ft, 6) and Vickery (5-ft, 4) finished 2nd and 3rd in the high jump, Fitch (18-ft, 5.50) was 2nd in the long jump with senior Noah Morey (17-ft, 8) taking 4th.
Morey (120-ft, 1) won the discus and senior Watson Feil (146-ft, 3) and Morey (135-ft) went 1-2 in the javelin, and Morey (38-ft, 6) won the shot put while Feil (36-ft, 5) finished 3rd.
The Hornets were 2nd in the 4x100m (46.50), 2nd in the 4x400m (4:12.64) and 2nd in the 4x800m (9:46.34).
In the girls meet, freshman Piper Hoprich won the 100m (12.50) and the 200m (26.75). Senior Sara Seeling (17.74) won the 100m hurdles with sophomore Taylor Main (20.08) in 4th, Seeling (53.17) and Main (57.40) were 1st and 3rd in the 300m hurdles, and Hoprich (1:04.50) finished 2nd in the 400m.
Freshman Lauren Kosek (2:40.42) finished 4th in the 800m then swept both the 1600m (5:53.17) and the 3200m (12:17.36).
Junior Annie Gehman (4-ft, 8) won the high jump while freshman Megan Newruck (4-ft, 4) took 3rd, sophomore Megan Mosher (6-ft, 6) finished 3rd in the pole vault, and Gehman (15-ft, 3) won the long jump.
Seeling (83-ft, 2) won the javelin and senior Grace Harlan (29-ft, 10.50) was 3rd in the shot put.
Wellsboro won the 4x100m relay (53.13), was 2nd in the 4x400m (5:12.59), and also took 2nd in the 4x800m (12:14.28).
Both teams will be back in action next Friday for the NTL Championships at Athens.
