Hornet Tennis Doubles Teams Compete at District Tournament

Wellsboro had two doubles teams compete in the District IV Boys Tennis tournament at the Central PA Tennis Center in Williamsport on Monday, May 13.

The team of seniors Hayden Zuchowski and Jose Wheeler fell to Montoursville's Wyatt Fry and James Kehrer, the #4 seed, 6-0, 6-3 in the opening round.

The team of senior Jacob Abadi and sophomore Luke Rothermel won their opening round match, defeating Bloomsburg's Marc-Alexi Dobbins and Ryan Smith 6-3, 6-1. They dropped their 2nd round match - 6-1, 6-0 - to Hughesville's John Finnegan and Mason Thomas.
