Hornet Golfers Finish 6th At Corey Creek

The Wellsboro Golf team placed 6th at North Penn-Mansfield's home course of Corey Creek on Tuesday, September 3.

The Hornets shot 413 as a team to beat Sayre (567). Athens continued their perfect season with a round of 317 followed by North Penn-Mansfield (333), Towanda (343), Wyalusing (363), and Cowanesque Valley (405).

Sophomore Syler Pietrzyk led Wellsboro with a 91 on the afternoon. Juniors Kiernen Whitsell carded a 105 and Garrett Kaltenbach shot a 106, sophomore Gideon Lawton produced a round of 107, freshman Chase Schultz finished with a 110, and freshman Logan Johnson rounded out the team with a 120.

The team (4-14, 4-14 NTL) is back in action on Tuesday, September 10 at River Valley.
