Senior Jacob Abadi, junior Lucas Cuneo, and sophomore Luke Rothermel were selected to the NTL Boys Tennis All-Star team on Wednesday, June 5.
Abadi and Rothermel were 1st team selections while Cuneo was a 2nd team pick.
"Jacob had an outstanding high school tennis career and played singles at a high level the past two seasons," head coach Andy Borzok said. "He was one of our team captains this past season and his leadership will very much be missed. Luke had the highest singles winning percentage for us this season. He really has a complete game, and I’m looking forward to having him on the team for another two seasons. Lucas came out for the first time this season and had an immediate impact. He's a natural athlete and competitor, and he really helped push our top players to improve."
Rothermel led the team with a 9-3 singles record. Abadi was 7-11 on the year at first singles and made it to the 2nd round of the District IV Boys Tennis singles tournament. Cuneo posted a 4-6 record in his first year competing.
Both Abadi and Rothermel also advanced to the 2nd round of the district's doubles tournament.
WellsboroAthletics.com would like to congratulate Jacob, Luke, and Lucas on their selections.
