Lady Hornets Sweep Sayre

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team evened their record up at .500 with a 3-0 sweep of Sayre on Tuesday, September 26.

The Lady Hornets cruised in each set winning 25-9, 25-8, and 25-7.

Senior Meredith Brownlee led Wellsboro with 21 points and 4 kills, junior Lexi Urena had 14 points and 3 kills, sophomore Taylor Main and junior Arianah Lawton made 5 assists each, senior Natalie Cleveland had 8 digs and 2 assists, and junior Paige Logsdon recorded 6 kills. Main also scored 5 points.

There was no JV game.

The win improves the Lady Hornets to 5-5 (5-2 NTL Large School Division). The team is back in action at Wyalusing on Thursday.
