The Wellsboro Girls Track team fell to Athens (100-46) and Canton (75-66) in their first road meet of the year on Tuesday, April 4.
Junior Sara Seeling (19.2) and senior Ella Posada (19.4) were 2nd and 3rd in the 100m hurdles, senior Kate DeCamp (14.3), freshman Lilah Parades (14.5), and junior Maddy Mascho (14.7) were 4th-6th in the 100m, senior Madeline Gage (6:07.6) was 3rd in the 1600m, Seeling (53.8) won the 300m, and DeCamp (30.2) and Mascho (30.7) were 4th and 5th in the 200m.
Junior Hannah Gilmour (60-ft, 1) was 7th in the discus, freshman Rowan Butters (74-ft) was 3rd in the javelin, and junior Grace Harlan (28-ft, 7) was 2nd in the shot put.
Sophomore Annie Gehman won the long jump (13-ft, 9.25), took 1st in the triple jump (32-ft), and won the high jump (4-ft, 10). Freshman Kristina Belz (4-ft, 6) was 2nd in the high jump.
Wellsboro was 3rd in the 4x100m (58.2) and 2nd in the 4x800m (13:39.7).
The team is back in action next Tuesday at home against Wyalusing.
