The Wellsboro Junior High Soccer team rolled to a 7-1 win at Northeast Bradford on Monday, October 9.
The young Hornets posted three goals in the first half, starting with a Liam Stevens goal just 46 seconds into the contest. Stevens scored again at the 7:22 mark to score his second goal of the game, followed by a Luna Moyer goal, assisted by Gabe Cuneo, to give the Hornets a 3-0 lead.
"Our team continues to show how quick we get started by finding the back of the net very early on both halves," head coach Derek Stevens said.
Wellsboro got off to another fast start in the second half as Cuneo scored just 30 seconds in. The Hornets then added goals by Lauren Gehman, Octavian Wyman, and Madden Mascho to close things out.
Wellsboro improves to 11-0-1 following the win, and is back in action on Thursday at North Penn-Liberty.
