The Wellsboro Junior High Soccer team won their 9th straight game following an 8-1 win over North Penn-Liberty on Saturday, September 30.
"We were struggling to move the ball efficiently the first half but came out after halftime and really showed improvement," head coach Derek Stevens said.
Kate Bryant scored the first goal at 13:05 from the right side from a pass by Liam Stevens, then Stevens followed up with a chip up from Bradyn Benjamin for Wellsboro's 2nd goal. Luna Moyer finished the half with a goal.
In the second half, Gabe Cuneo scored off a corner kick by Liam Stevens 1:14 in then followed with another goal, assisted by Gage Baltzley. Lauren Gehman added a goal from a Cuneo assist, and Cuneo completed the hat trick from a header by Stevens.
Wellsboro's final goal was scored by Octavian Wyman on a pass from Rosa Sguera.
Ransom Shultz made 1 save in goal.
Wellsboro (9-0) travels to Athens on Wednesday.
