The Wellsboro Boys Track team improved to 3-0 in the young season following an 85-64 win over Wyalusing at home on Tuesday, April 11.
The Hornets swept the 100m with freshman Jonathan Carl taking 1st in 11.91, followed by Dillion Boyce (11.94) and sophomore Jack Bryant (12.18). Boyce (24.91) won the 200m with Bryant (25.79) in 3rd, Carl won the 400m (52.34) freshman Jude Cuneo (2:17.54) and freshman Max Macias (2:24.50) were 2nd and 3rd in the 800m, Macias (5:16.75) and freshman David Seeling (5:32.41) were 3rd and 4th in the 1600m, and freshman Henry Whitney (13:45.79) won the 3200m.
Sophomore Micah Vickery won both the 110m (17.21) and the 300m (45.97) hurdles, senior Kyle Mosher (5-10) was 2nd in the high jump, senior Spencer Wetzel (9-ft) won the pole vault with sophomore Gabe Carpenter (8-ft, 6) in 2nd, and senior Aiden Gehman won both the long jump (19-ft, 5.25) and the triple jump (40-09.5).
Junior Noah Morey took 2nd in the shot put (33-ft) and discus (104-ft, 10). Senior Wyatt Gastrock (98-ft, 1) was 3rd in the discus and Wellsboro swept the javelin with junior Watson Feil (137-ft, 1), Morey (123-ft, 6), and Gastrock (121-ft, 11) taking home the top spots.
Wellsboro took 2nd in the 4x100m relay (47.18), 2nd in the 4x400m (3:58.77) and won the 4x800m (9:30).
Wellsboro is back in action on Thursday at the Molly Dry Invite and Mansfield University.
