Wellsboro captured their 5th straight NTL boys tennis league championship by edging Towanda 3-2 on Thursday, April 20.
"It was simply an awesome match. Towanda is a strong team and we played close with them last week as well," head coach Andy Borzok said. "We were missing Hayne today, so Aiden stepped into the 3rd singles spot and won a grueling match that lasted over 2 1/2 hours. Jacob won his second 2 hour long, 3 set match in the past two days, and Peyton improved to 13-1 with another solid performance at 1st singles. I couldn't be prouder of the whole team and how they have handled themselves and improved throughout the entire season."
