The Wellsboro Track and Field team competed at the Bald Eagle Invite at Lock Haven University on Friday, April 21.
The boys finished 20th overall with 7 points while the girls were 13th with 25.5 points.
For the girls sophomore Annie Gehman tied for 4th in the high jump (4-ft, 8), was 3rd in the long jump (16-ft, 0.5), and 4th in the triple jump (33-ft, 2). Senior Madeline Gage (8:53.87) won the 2000m steeplechase, and junior Sara Seeling was 18th in the 100m hurdles (18.93) and 16th in the 300m hurdles (53.84).
In the boys meet senior Aiden Gehman was 16th in the high jump (5-ft, 4), 12th in the long jump (19-ft, 4.75), and 5th in the triple jump (41-ft, 3). Senior Spencer Wetzel was 12 in the pole vault (10-ft), senior Wyatt Gastrock was 16th in the discus (112-ft, 6), junior Watson Feil was 9th in the javelin (135-ft, 5), sophomore Micah Vickery was 15th in the 110m hurdles (17.62) and 15th in the 300m hurdles (46.05), and freshman Jonathan Carl was 6th in the 400m (52.49).
Both teams are back in action Tuesday at home against Northeast Bradford and Williamson.
