The Wellsboro Boys Track team finished 5th overall and the Girls finished 11th at the Molly Dry Invite at Mansfield University on Thursday, April 13.
Jersey Shore won the boys meet with 154 points followed by Williamson (98), Hughesville (76), Waverly (67), Wellsboro (64.5), Troy (57), North Penn-Mansfield (46), Bradford (41.5), Athens (32), South Williamsport (28), Montgomery and Northeast Bradford (23), Canton (19), and Odessa-Montour (12).
Hughesville took the top spot in the girls meet with 131 points. Jersey Shore (113) was 2nd followed by Athens (82), Towanda (61), Canton (51), Northeast Bradford (49), South Williamsport (46), Odessa-Montour (42), Notre Dame (39), Waverly (37), Wellsboro and Sayre (25), Montgomery (15), Troy (12), North Penn-Mansfield (6), Williamson (3).
For the boys sophomore Micah Vickery (17.15) was 5th in the 110m hurdles, junior Dillion Boyce (11.79) was 6th in the 100m, freshman Max Macias (5:17.39) was 13th in the 1600m, freshman Jonathan Carl (51.96) was 2nd in the 400m, freshman Jude Cuneo (2:21.64) was 13th in the 800m, Boyce (24.49) was 5th in the 200m, and freshman Henry Whitney (12:43.51) was 16th in the 3200m.
Senior Kyle Mosher (5-ft, 6) was 4th in the high jump, sophomore Gabe Carpenter (9-ft, 6) was 6th in the pole vault with senior Spencer Wetzel (9-ft) tied for 7th, Senior Wyatt Gastrock (113-ft, 7) and junior Noah Morey (112-ft, 9) were 5th and 6th in the discus, senior Aiden Gehman was 2nd in the long jump (20-ft, 5) and 2nd in the triple jump (40-ft, 3), junior Watson Feil (134-ft, 7) was 6th in the javelin, and Cuneo (7:58.96) was 7th in the 2000m Steeplechase.
The Hornets were 7th in the 4x800m relay (9:42.84), 8th in the 4x400m relay (3:57.04), and 5th in the 4x100m relay (47.47).
On the girls side, senior Madeline Gage (9:00.26) was 3rd in the 2000m Steeplechase and 17th in the 1600m (6:38.84), junior Sara Seeling (54.22) was 7th in the 300m hurdles, senior Liliana Cuneo (31.19) was 21st in the 200m, and junior Madison Robbins (17:13.67) was 17th in the 3200m.
Sophomore Annie Gehman (4-ft, 8) was 5th in the high jump, 10th in the long jump (14-ft, 1.5) and 3rd in the triple jump (33-ft, 3.25), junior Hannalee Cleveland (67-ft, 11) was 19th in the javelin, junior Grace Harlan (28-ft, 10) was 7th in the shot put, and junior Hannah Gilmour (73-ft, 9) was 7th in the discus.
