The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team snapped a two-game losing streak in a 1-0 win on the road in Towanda on Tuesday, September 27.

Despite being out shot 10-6 the Lady Hornets mustered a goal with 6:05 remaining in the second half on an unassisted goal by junior Sara Seeling. Sophomore Annie Gehman saved all 10 Lady Knight shots on the evening for her 5th shutout of the season.

"I am so impressed with the continuing intensity that the girls play with the entire game, even if we are down," coach Bill Stokes said. "They continually encourage each other!"

There was no JV game.

The win evens up the Lady Hornets' record at 5-5 (4-3 NTL). The team is back in action on Thursday, September 29 at Williamson.
