The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team suffered a 4-1 loss to Northeast Bradford on Tuesday, September 13.
After falling behind on an early goal, sophomore Carys Barlett struck with 15:17 remaining in the first half off an assists from junior Maddy Mascho to knot the game up at 1-all. However NEB scored three times in the second half to break the tie and go on for the win.
NEB out shot Wellsboro 19-3 on the afternoon. Sophomore Annie Gehman recorded 15 saves in goal.
NEB also had an 11-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The loss drops the Lady Hornets' record to 2-3 (1-2 NTL). The team is back in action on Thursday, September 15 against Towanda.
