The Wellsboro Junior High Basketball teams split games with Northeast Bradford on Saturday, November 12.
The boys remained undefeated with a 36-17 win while the girls lost 29-16.
Both B teams lost on the day. The boys fell 30-20 and the girls 33-10.
In the boys game the Hornets had a 10-0 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and 18-4 at the half. Griffin Morral led Wellsboro with 12 points and 4 rebounds and Ethan Keane and Max Mascho both scored 8 points. Keane also added 5 assists and 4 steals while Mascho grabbed 3 rebounds and had 3 steals. Colin Fletcher pitched in 4 points and Ransom Schultz had 2 points and 2 steals.
Jacob Brown scored 15 for Wellsboro in the B game and Luke Szentesy added 4 points.
In the girls game NEB led 4-2 after the 1st, 12-4 at halftime, and 25-11 after the 3rd. Lauren Gehman scored 9 to lead the Lady Hornets while Teagan Novinger added 5 points and Mazie Johnson scored 2. In the B game Jennifer Belz, Bri Stocum, Rosa Seguera, Madison Nagy, and Johnson all scored 2 points.
The boys team is at North Penn-Liberty tonight while the girls travel there tomorrow evening before returning home on Thursday to take on North Penn-Mansfield.
