The Wellsboro Junior High Boys Basketball team improved to 9-1 after a 27-14 win over Williamson on Wednesday, November 30.
After a slow 1st quarter, the Hornets went on an 11-2 run in the 2nd half to take a 15-6 lead at the half.
Ethan Keane led all scorers with 10 points, Max Mascho added 8, Gideon Lawton scored 4, Colin Fletcher and Ransom Schultz added 2 points each, and Luke Szentesy added a point from the foul line.
Fletcher added 2 steals and 2 assists, Lawton made a pair of steals and grabbed 3 rebounds, Keane had 3 rebounds and 3 assists, Morral pulled down 2 rebounds, made 4 assists, and 3 steals, Mascho had 3 rebounds, and Schultz grabbed 6 rebounds. Schultz and Morral also blocked one shot each.
Wellsboro won the B game 26-4 and held Williamson scoreless in the 2nd half. Jacob Brown had 10 points, Szentesy added 6, RJ Doughtie and Tanner Allen both scored 4, and Reed Richardson chipped in two points.
The Hornets are back on the court on Monday, December 5 at Cowanesque Valley.
