The Wellsboro Varsity Boys Basketball team put together a 28-0 first quarter en route to an 87-31 win over Williamson on Wednesday, January 12.
"We are moving in the right direction," head coach Steve Adams said. "We've played 8 solid quarters now in a row."
Wellsboro scored 28 in the first quarter, 24 in the second, 21 in the third, and 14 in the fourth. Senior Liam Manning led the way with 22 points, junior Cameron Brought finished with 16, juniors Peyton McClure and Conner Adams had 15 each, senior Darryn Callahan finished with 9, and senior Drew Manning and sophomore Hayes Campbell added 5 points each. Adams added 6 assists to his point total, Brought and Callahan each grabbed 7 rebounds, and McClure made 5 assists.
Wellsboro (7-2, 5-1 NTL Large School Division) is back in action at home on Friday, January 14 against Athens.
