The Wellsboro Golf team shot 380 on the afternoon to finish 4th overall at Corey Creek on Tuesday, September 6.
Athens shot a 362 to take home 1st, just edging out Wyalusing (365). Host North Penn-Mansfield was 3rd with 377, Cowanesque Valley (406) was 5th, Towanda (442) finished 6th, and Sayre rounded out the field with a 543.
Juniors Hayden Zuchowski and Hannalee Cleveland led Wellsboro with rounds of 92, followed by senior Blake Hamblin (94), junior Silas Jackson (102), senior Andrew Merriman (105), and freshman Kiernen Whitsell (138).
North Penn-Mansfield's Andrew Green won with a round of 78, followed by Athens' Evan Cooper and Wyalusing's Brody Fuhrey tied for 2nd with rounds of 82, Cowanesque Valley's Jordan Vargeson and Wyalusing's Nick Salsman tied for 4th with 89's, and Athens' Cameron Sullivan was 6th with a round of 90.
Wellsboro sits 3rd in NTL play with a record of 11-7. The team is back in action as the league heads to River Valley on Tuesday, September 13.
