Hornets finish 16th & 17th at Molly Dry Invite

The Wellsboro Track teams took part in the Molly Dry Invite at Mansfield University on Thursday, April 17.

The Lady Hornets finished tied for 16th with Montgomery with 14 points while the boys team finished 15th with 17 points.

For the girls, junior Kate DeCamp (14.27) and senior Hannah Morey (14.44) were 27th and 29th in the 100m, DeCamp (30.10) was 18th in the 200m, sophomore Emily Richardson (1:11.81) was 17th in the 400m, junior Madeline Gage (2:54) was 21st in the 800m, sophomore Sara Seeling (6:16.88) was 11th in the 1600m, and freshman Karah Blackwell (16:50.23) was 15th in the 3200m.

Sophomore Hannalee Cleveland (20.01) was 20th in the 100m hurdles, junior Liliana Cueno (56.65) was 13th in the 300m hurdles, and Gage (9:01.65) was 4th in the steeplechase.

Wellsboro finished 7th in the 4x100m relay (56.93) and 10th in the 4x800m relay (12:50.07).

Freshman Annie Gehman (4-ft, 6) took 3rd in the high jump, 8th in the long jump (14-ft, 2.25), 14th in the triple jump (28-ft, 11.75). Sophomore Hannah Gilmour (24-ft, 1.75) was 14th in the shot put and 23rd in the javelin (52-ft, 5) and sophomore Isobel Anderegg (71-ft, 10) was 12th in the discus.

For the boys, sophomore Dillion Boyce (12.04) was 9th in the 100m and 4th in the 200m (24.62), freshman Joseph Busch (59.82) was 19th in the 400m, freshman Chris Greenawalt (2:34.43) was 27th in the 800m and 26th in the 1600m (5:38.45), and freshman Micah Vickery (20.83) was 17th in the 110m hurdles. Freshman Alex Citrino (5-ft) tied for 13th in the high jump, junior Spencer Wetzel (9-ft) finished 8th in the pole vault, junior Jack Poirier (19-ft, 3.25) took home 3rd in the long jump, junior Aden Tom (33-ft, 1.25) was 16th in the triple jump, junior Wyatt Gastrock (119-ft, 6) was 4th in the discus, and sophomore Noah Morey (128-ft, 1) was 9th in the javelin.

Both teams are back in action on Tuesday, April 19 as they host a quad meet with Canton, Northeast Bradford, and Troy.
