Coudersport topped Wellsboro 3-1 in non-league volleyball in Wellsboro on Monday, October 10.
Coudersport took the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-16, before the Lady Hornets rallied to take the 3rd set, 25-19. However, Coudersport took the 4th set 25-16 to claim the non-league win.
Sophomore Paige Logsdon led the Lady Hornets with 14 points, 7 blocks, and 7 digs. Senior Maddi Bordas had 7 assists and 7 points, junior Natalie Cleveland recorded 8 digs, junior Brianna Rathbun scored 8 points and had 6 digs, and sophomore Lexi Urena had 12 digs and 5 kills.
Junior Meredith Brownlee also added 13 digs.
Coudersport also won the JV game 2-0 (25-16, 25-5).
The loss drops the Lady Hornets to 9-7 (6-4 NTL Large School Division). The team is back in action tomorrow for another non-league game with Central Mountain.
