The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team shutout Towanda 9-0 for their fourth consecutive win on Wednesday, September 22.
"The team was firing on all cylinders tonight and really put together an amazing game," head coach Derek Stevens said.
Wellsboro scored 4 goals in the first half and added 5 more in the second half to secure their biggest win of the season.
Jacob Baldwin scored a pair of goals to lead the Hornets on the evening while Max Macias, Cameron Owlett, Jonathan Carl, David Seeling, Drayden McGee, Jacoby Strang, and Mason Brill scored single goals, and Macias, Jude Cueno, and Lilah Paredes added assists.
In the B game the Hornets also swept the Black Knights, winning 4-0. Brill led the Hornets with 2 goals in the game. Max Mascho and Coen Tennis added the remaining goals and Peter Doan had an assist.
The win improves the Hornets' record to 4-0 on the season. The team is back in action at home on Saturday morning against Galeton.
