The Wellsboro Boys Junior High Basketball Team defeated Canton 55-4 Tuesday evening.
"Tonight was a good team effort and each player contributed in a positive way. I was pleased with our defensive pressure and our commitment to rebounding the basketball," said head coach Kyle Smith.
Aaron Kirk paced the Hornets with 17 points, Jacob Baldwin and Keagan Spaar each scored 8 points, Jonathan Carl and Luke Rothermel scored 6 points, Noah Zengerle added 4 points, and Ethan Keane, Drayden McGee, and Malachai Rinebold all scored 2 points.
Wellsboro won the B game 24-20 behind 12 points from Keagan Spaar. Gideon Lawton scored 7 points and Mason Brill added 5 points for the Hornets.
The Hornets (1-2) travel to Williamson on Thursday, November 18.
