The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team won their second consecutive game following a 3-1 victory at Troy on Saturday, September 18.
The Lady Hornets took the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-11, before Troy rallied in the third, 25-22, to force a fourth set. Wellsboro won the fourth and final set, 25-11, to win the game. Wellsboro swept Troy in the JV game (25-20, 25-14) to start the night.
Senior Emma Owlett led the Lady Hornets with 13 kills while junior Madaline Bordas led Wellsboro with 21 points (2 aces) and 11 assists. Junior Emily Starkweather had 17 points, an assist and 4 digs, senior Olivia Servatius had 10 points, 3 aces and 5 assists. Freshman Paige Logsdon had 8 blocks and 4 kills, sophomore Olivia Chilson had 4 kills, and senior Brianna Smith recorded 4 digs.
Next up for the Lady Hornets (3-2, 2-2 NTL Large School Division) is a matchup with Towanda on Tuesday, September 21.
