The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team swept South Williamsport 3-0 to win their second straight game on Wednesday, October 28.
The Lady Hornets took the first two sets 25-19 and won the third set 25-17. The JV also picked up a 2-0 sweep to improve to 18-3.
Freshman Alexandra Urena led Wellsboro with 13 points, 3 aces 7 kills, and 7 assists, junior Madaline Bordas had 13 points, 3 aces and 15 assists, freshman Paige Logsdon had 8 points, an ace, 10 kills, and 2 blocks, and junior Emily Starkweather had 7 kills.
Senior Brianna Smith had 13 digs.
The win improves the Lady Hornets' record to 9-12. The team is back in action for their final game of the season tonight at home against Troy.
